Hodmedod's Whole Dried Marrowfat Peas are a true British classic, celebrated for their incredibly creamy texture and rich, slightly sweet flavour. These peas are allowed to dry naturally in the field before being harvested, which concentrates their starch and gives them their signature "melt-in-the-mouth" quality once cooked. Whether you are looking to create the perfect authentic mushy peas or want a hearty base for soups and stews, these British-grown marrowfats are the gold standard.

Sourced directly from British farms, Hodmedod's ensures that every 500g pack supports sustainable UK agriculture and crop rotations. These peas are not just a nostalgic favourite; they are a nutritional powerhouse, packed with plant-based protein and high in fibre. Because they are left as whole, unprocessed pulses, they retain their nutritional integrity and provide a satisfying, substantial bite to any plant-based meal.

To get the best results, these peas require a traditional soak overnight before simmering. Once cooked, they transform into a thick, velvety consistency. They are the ideal companion for a classic fish and chip supper, a warming ham and pea soup, or even a modern twist on a creamy pea hummus.
